BCRPA Yoga Fitness Course

Course Description

This BCRPA Yoga Fitness Course meets the Yoga Fitness Performance Standards set by Leadership Canada and includes a minimum of 35 instructional hours. The course combines theoretical classroom learning with practical components, such as quizzes, exams, and projects. Upon completion, you will have the essential knowledge and skills to safely and effectively plan and lead beginner yoga classes for generally healthy populations.

Prerequisites

  • Successfully complete an accredited BCRPA Fitness Theory course and exam.

  • Registered on the BCRPA Registry® for Fitness Professionals.

  • Have attended at least 20 yoga classes or have equivalent experience.

Registration Requirements

  • Successfully complete this course.

  • Pass a separate post-training Instructor Competency Evaluation (ICE).

Personal Interest Registration

This course is also available for personal interest. Participants who choose this option will not be eligible for BCRPA registration or Continuing Education Credits (CECs).
