The Journey

“There is no greater journey than the one that you must take to discover all of the mysteries that lie within you.” - Michelle Sandlin

The journey into self-love and self-acceptance must begin with self-examination. Until you take the journey of self-reflection, it is almost impossible to grow or learn in life. Self-reflection is a gift for your spirit. Be your own observer and allow deeper parts of who you are come forth. It’s important to understand that self-reflection isn’t about lingering on what you don’t like about yourself. It’s about digging into these darker things and recognizing that you’re not these things. By paying kind attention and building loving self awareness, only then you can begin to understand those darker things within oneself and help you grow towards lightness and love. You can then understand yourself better, and reveal your true self. Introspection is not self-rejection. The loving gaze you grant yourself will free and lift you.

Two keys to positive introspection are:

  • To value your self-awareness. It’s enlightening to know why you do things, to recognize your triggers, to have clarity about what’s going on in your head and heart.

  • Your willingness to believe you’re already enough. Then you can make changes (that last) from a place of compassion and acceptance, not shame.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

🙏🏼 Namaste, K.
